WCF—Multiple Web Templates with CMS

One of the new ways WCF serves the Christadelphian community is with ready-made Web site templates for churches to use. We created six distinct themes for the project and set up a content management system so that users with little Web experience could take care of all content updates.

Opportunity ›

Provide simple, beautiful, semi-custom Web sites for churches lacking the ways and means of their own.

Challenge ›

Create six distinct Web templates with common architecture, each prebuilt as a complete site, having a content management system in place to facilitate updates.

Solution ›

Designing the sites was tons of fun and a great challenge. We used a service provided by CushyCMS which makes it easy for anyone with Web access to update the content.

Nuts and bolts ›

Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Javascript, CushyCMS, and PHP.

Online demos

We created online demos with placeholder content for each theme so that prospective users could get a feel for them. Visit the site and take one for a spin.

The result

Sites based on our templates are springing up around the globe.

A rose by any other name

Part of the fun with this project was coming up with names for the various themes. Here they are:

Can you figure out which name goes with which theme?
